In order to allow your users to Sign in to your application with their Facebook accounts or to share data between the app and their Facebook profiles, you will need to set up your Facebook integration first. The first step of this configuration is setting up the Facebook connector application.

Setting up the Facebook app – Part I.

Login to the Facebook Developers website with your Facebook account: https://developers.facebook.com/
After you have successfully logged in, click on the Apps link

If you already have a faceboook application that you used for some other purpose or for connecting your V3 application with Facebook, you can use that application. If you don’t have any Facebook apps on your account, you will need to click on the Create new app button.

After clicking on the Create New App button​, you will get a popup that you can use to enter some basic information about your Facebook application. You need to enter the:

Application name that will be checked for validity by Facebook service
Category – You need to select at least the main category. Choose the category corresponding to your mobile app.
Subcategory – Optional

Leave other fields blank. You can see how it should look like in this screenshot:

After you click on the continue button, you will get another popup that requires you to enter the CAPTCHA code to show Facebook that you are not an evil robot preordered for world domination. After you confirm that you are human, you should see the following:

You need to Write down or copy the Facebook App ID and App Secret from the box in question. However, leave the Facebook App interface open, as we will need to do some additional settings there.
