Whilst contractually you might own the IP to those files, in Google Drive they are still sitting in the contractor’s ownership. This means if they should decide to stop sharing them with you or their account would be deleted, then you would lose access to those files as well. We can migrate them from the contractor’s Google Drive or the third party’s Google Drive into shared drives so that the data is owned by your company.
In this scenario, this is done by making a copy, so any links to those files will be broken.
